The Centre for Health System Strengthening (CfHSS) has received an award from the Pan-African Consortuim and Institute de Recherche’ en Sante’ de Surveillance Epide’miologique et Formation / Cheikh Anta Diop University (IRESSEF/CADU) to build capacity in the area of HIV Rapid Testing and Continuous Quality Improvement (RT-CQI).
The programme is meant to:
* Train HIV Rapid Testing Quality Mentors to support baseline assessment using the SPI-RT checklist, provide on-site training, corrective action, site supervision, and Continuous Quality Improvement.
* Support implementation of RT-CQI best practices for HIV testers and testing sites
* Provide support for RT-CQI related activities (e.g., DTS PT and HIV Logbook)
The major outcome of this programme is to improve the quality of HIV rapid testing and monitoring in Ghana. CfHSS will build on the experience developed from previous SPI-RT programmes. The programme is expected to run from September 2018 to April 2019.
