The Management of the Centre for Health System Strengthening (CfHSS) is looking for a motivated person for a full-time position as a Project Coordinator. CfHSS is a non-governmental, not-for-profit and non-political organization that is committed to improving and strengthening health care delivery in resource-limited settings.

Responsibilities (not exhaustive) of the position are as follows:

• Support the coordination of programme activities in the organization
• Coordinate with consultants to carry assessments in project facilities, identify non-conformances, and provide corrective actions to address them.
• Conduct quarterly assessments against workplan and final impact assessments to graduate the facilities.
• Ensure smooth implementation of programme activities
• Assist with organization, planning and monitoring of programmes
• Conduct regular site visits to project sites to monitor activities
• Assist with writing of proposals, technical reports and manuscripts related to project activities.
• Assist with training of training of graduate students that will be attached to the Centre.

Qualifications/Person Specifications

The position holder should have the following: (E = Essential; D = Desirable)

• Proven experience with project coordination and implementation (E)
• In-depth understanding of office management procedures and policies (E)
• Proficient in MS Office, Data analysis softwares and other related soft skills (E)
• Proficient in data processing, analysis and writing of manuscripts and reports (D)
• Track record of publications in health related field (E)
• Pay attention to details (D)
• An analytical mind with problem-solving skills (D)
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities (D)
• A good team player with leadership skills (E)
• MSc/MPhil in health related field ie; Public Health, Biomedical Sciences,Microbiology etc (E)
• PhD in Biological Sciences, Public Health, Microbiology or any of the other life sciences in a related field (D)

Duration

The contract will be for a period of 1 year and renewable subject to the availability of funds. Expected starting date: 1st January, 2023.
