Dr Jones Lamptey is an affiliate scientist CfHSS. He holds a BSc in Medical Laboratory Technology and M.Phil. in Clinical Microbiology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST, Ghana). He obtained his Ph.D. in Immunology from the Chongqing Medical University (CQMU, China) and Certificate in Implementation Research on Infectious Diseases of Poverty from the WHO-TDR program (University of Ghana). He is currently a Research Scientist at the Institute for Drug Discovery in Purdue University, U.S.A. His research areas include antimicrobial resistance, zoonosis, epidemiology of infectious diseases and identification of novel therapeutic targets against bacteria. Dr Lamptey supports CfHSS through training of young scientist in scientific research and innovative approaches in drug discovery.
