The Centre for Health System Strengthening team led by the Programs Coordinator, Dr. Godfred Acheampong has successfully completed laboratory set-up and device installations as well as molecular training for SARS-CoV-2 testing at the Tamale and Sekondi Public Health Laboratories(PHL).
This was a 3-day working visit to the Sekondi Public Health Laboratory (SPHL). The visit was aimed at monitoring the progress of on-going works supported by CfHSS at SPHL, assisting in the installation and placement of laboratory devices and equipment for commencement of COVID-19 testing. Also, hands-in molecular training was organized to build the capacities of the lab staff to detect SARS-CoV-2 by real time PCR.
