Mr. David Jahbiuk Sambian is the Director of Programs for the Centre for Health Systems Strengthening (CfHSS). He is also a Researcher and Laboratory Manager of Malaria Research Centre (MRC) at Agogo, Ghana. MRC was one of the clinical sites that worked on the development of the candidate malaria vaccine, RTS,S for Phases II and III from 2006 to 2014. Mr. Sambian also works as a Laboratory Quality Assurance Monitor on the Malaria Vaccine Pilot Evaluation overseeing one of the sentinel sites where the candidate malaria vaccine RTS,S is being rolled out in Ghana under the auspices of the World Health Organization. Mr. Sambian has extensive background and experience in laboratory services and laboratory quality management systems, both locally and internationally. In 2014 and 2018, he was the overall Lead Auditor for 21 laboratories in Nigeria, and 10 laboratories in South Africa, respectively. He has been involved in several clinical researches since 1998 mainly in malaria research with a number of impactful articles published in peer-review journals.
