Professor Yaw Adu-Sarkodie is a professor and consultant Clinical Microbiologist at the Department of Clinical Microbiology, KNUST and Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. He holds PhD in Epidemiology of Sexually Transmitted Infections and foundation fellowship of the Ghana College of Physicians. He is currently the provost of the College of Health Sciences of KNUST. He has served on various Technical Working Groups of the National AIDS control Programme and provided expert advice on HIV drug resistance and laboratory diagnostic set ups. He has over 30 years of experience in clinical microbiology and has trained a number of academic and professional microbiologists in Ghana.
