Stephen Opoku Afriyie holds a BSc in Biological Sciences and Masters in Parasitology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He is currently the Programs Coordinator at CfHSS where he plays integral roles in coordinating program activities, writing reports and assists the Executive and Programs Director in project-related activities. Mr. Opoku Afriyie is a former Research Assistant at Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine (KCCR) and Vector-Borne Infectious Disease Research Group at Department of Theoretical and Applied Biology, KNUST. He is a member of the Ghana Science Association and the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. His areas of research include molecular epidemiology of infectious diseases, diagnostic accuracy testing and gene deletion surveillance studies.
