The Management of the Centre for Health System Strengthening (CfHSS) is looking for a motivated person for a full-time position as an Assistant Programmes Coordinator. CfHSS is a non-governmental, not-for-profit and non-political organization that is committed to improving and strengthening health care delivery in resource-limited settings. Responsibilities (not exhaustive) are as follows:

  • Support the coordination of programme activities in the organization
  • Ensure smooth implementation of programme activities
  • Assist with organization, planning and monitoring of programmes
  • Assist the Project Coordinator to conduct regular site visits to project sites to
    monitor activities
  • Assist the Project Coordinator in the writing of proposals, technical reports and
    manuscripts related t o project activities.
QUALIFICATIONS/PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

The Post holder should have the following: (E = Essential; D = Desirable)

  • Proven experience with project coordination and implementation (E)
  • In-depth understanding of office management procedures and policies (E)
  • Familiarity with financial and facilities management principles (D)
  • Proficient in MS Office (E)
  • Proficient in data processing and analysis for manuscripts and reports (D)
  • Track record of publications in health related field (E)
  • Pay attention to details (D)
  • An analytical mind with problem-solving skills (D)
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities (D)
  • A good team player with leadership skills (E)
  • BSc Biological Sciences, Public Health, Medical Laboratory Sciences or any of the
    other life sciences in a related field (E)
  • MSc/MPhil in health related field ie; Public Health, Biomedical Sciences,
    Microbiology etc (D)

The contract will be for a period of 1 year. Expected starting date: 1st February, 2022.
