The Management of the Centre for Health Systems Strengthening (CfHSS) is looking for talented and innovative Information Technology (IT) personnel for a full-time position to support its project on enhancing the global health security agenda in Ghana. The project seeks to expand efforts and strategies to protect and improve public health activities in Ghana. CfHSS is a non-governmental, not-for-profit, and non-political organization that is committed to improving and strengthening health care delivery in resource limited settings.

Responsibilities (not exhaustive) are as follows:

QUALIFICATIONS/PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

Main Responsibilities/Activities

  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks related to the implementation of the project.
  • Develop and maintain databases for the collection of project-related data.
  • Efficiently manage and update the CfHSS website.
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems.
  • Set up new users’ accounts for staff and profiles and deal with password issues.
  • Organize databases for collections of information related to the project implementation.

 

The Post holder should have the following: (E = Essential; D = Desirable)

  • Proven experience with website design, development, and maintenance (E)
  • Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment (E)
  • Experience with organization and management of databases (E)
  • Ability to learn new technologies (D)
  • Excellent communication skills (E)
  • Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude (D)
  • Attention to detail (D)
  • BSc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (D)

The contract will be for a 1 year. Expected starting date: 1st May 2021.
